It is with much appreciation that the Holy Name Foundation thanks all who supported our 2024 MS Center Awards Dinner on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at The Venetian in Garfield, NJ.
Holy Name MS Center patients and staff, health system leadership, donors and friends enjoyed a fabulous evening together, during which we recognized two esteemed members of the MS community.
John DeLuca, PhD, Executive Vice President for Research at the Kessler Foundation was this year’s recipient of the Lawrence R. Inserra Leadership Award. Dr. DeLuca has practiced neuropsychology and cognitive rehabilitation research for over 35 years; his work is nationally and internationally recognized. Our own Frederick Foley, PhD, Director of Neuropsychology and Psychosocial Research for the MS Center, received the Distinguished Service Award. Dr. Foley has been with the Center since its start, studying cognitive loss and mental health impacts of MS, yielding conclusions that are recognized worldwide.
Your generosity and participation mean so very much to everyone at Holy Name's Alfiero & Lucia Palestroni Foundation Multiple Sclerosis Center. Our vision of a one-stop MS resource has been realized, with diagnosis and treatment services, including the only MS patient-dedicated infusion center; more innovative therapies in the pipeline, thanks to clinical trials in which Holy Name participates; and a robust program of psychosocial and other supportive care offerings. Your support helps advance these essential services that greatly improve quality of life – so patients can work their jobs, enjoy their families, and pursue their dreams -- bringing them closer to a future without MS.
In the words of one of our MS patients:
“I have traveled 3 hours in each direction to be under the care of Doctor Picone at Holy Name for 30 years.
I will never be able to thank her and the staff enough for all they have done for me.”
