Holy Name Medical Center's Hospice and Palliative Services is sponsoring "Things You Want Your Loved Ones to Know," on Wednesday, October 14 from
7:00 to 8:00 PM at Villa Marie Clare, 12 West Saddle River Road, Saddle River, New Jersey. The speaker will be Michelle Gardiner, LCSW, Social Worker at
Villa Marie Claire.
The Conversation Project (theconversationproject.org/) is a movement that has started a national conversation in the United States to help families talk about the needs and desires of their loved ones as they near the end of their lives and to help prepare family members for an emotional journey that goes beyond end-of-life directives and insurance policies. Participants at the October 14 program will learn how to begin this important conversation with their loved ones and how to follow through to express their end-of-life wishes to healthcare providers.
This event is open to the public and is free of charge, but advance registration is requested. Please call 201-833-3336 to register or for additional information.
Villa Marie Claire is Holy Name's residential hospice, which provides comfort and care for people with advanced illness and their families in a gracious and supportive setting.
