J.D. Power and Associates founder J.D. Dave Power III presents Holy Name Hospital with unprecedented double trophy distinction in Inpatient and Emergency Service Excellence
Holy Name Hospital was recognized recently for service excellence under the J.D. Power and Associates Distinguished Hospital Program. Holy Name Hospital is the first hospital in the nation to receive both the inpatient and emergency department distinctions.
J.D. Dave Power III presented the awards to the hospital on Thursday, December 1 at a press conference with more than 250 staff members, physicians and dignitaries in attendance. Dave Power, a pioneer in customer satisfaction work for more than 40 years, founded J.D. Power and Associates 35 years ago. It has since become one of the leading marketing and information firms in the world. Today, the firms quality and satisfaction measurements are based on responses from millions of consumers for a variety of industries including healthcare.
Based on the rigorous standards of our national hospital service performance research, only 20 percent of the hospitals in the nation can qualify to achieve these distinctions, said Steven D. Wood, Ph.D., vice president of the healthcare division at J.D. Power and Associates. Holy Name Hospital is among this elite class of hospitals.
