PRESS CONFERENCE: H1N1 Influenza A Update

April 30, 2009

Teaneck, NJ - Holy Name Hospital invites members of the media to an information session about H1N1 Influenza A (swine flu) tomorrow, Friday, May 1, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in Holy Name Hospitals Marian Hall Conference Center. A panel of hospital physician and nursing experts will clarify facts and dispel myths by discussing medical and biological aspects of influenza pandemics, the nature of H1N1 in particular, and the state of emergency preparedness initiatives at Holy Name Hospital. There will be ample opportunity for questions and answers after the formal program, which will run approximately 45 minutes.

Holy Name Hospital is a state-designated Medical Coordination Center (MCC) for Bergen County, one of only nine designated centers in New Jersey. A major role of the MCC is to communicate closely with the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services and the State Office of Emergency Management to identify any and all incidents in our service area.
