Holy Name Medical Center has opened a 5,000-square-foot Center for Physical Rehabilitation facility on its main Teaneck campus, responding to a need to accommodate a growing number of people seeking outpatient therapy at the center. The Center features advanced technology and equipment, a warm and inviting atmosphere, and amenities such as a private entrance and valet parking.
Staffed by expert therapists in the specialties of physical, occupational, and speech therapies; sports medicine; occupational health; the center welcomes both adult and pediatric patients."We have added equipment that is designed to be fun, yet functional and effective in assisting our patients to return to their normal activities or to adapt to new challenges resulting from surgery, illness, or injury," notes Jason Kavountzis, PT, OCS, Director of Rehabilitation Services at Holy Name Medical Center.
Special programs include sports/orthopedics rehabilitation, hand therapy, MS exercise classes, vestibular and balance therapy, work performance, stroke rehabilitation, spine therapy, concussion management, and a wheelchair and mobility clinic.
