Holy Name Medical Center's Korean Medical Program (KMP) will be offering enrollment support workshops for the Affordable Care Act (ACA) on Saturday, January 11 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm and Saturday, January 18 at from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. The workshops will be held at Holy Name Medical Center, 718 Teaneck Road, Teaneck NJ. A group of bilingual navigators and counselors will assist the participants individually with the online enrollment. Since November, 2013, the KMP has assisted hundreds of members of the Korean community with the ACA enrollment. More workshops will be scheduled through the end of March when the enrollment period ends. Appointments are required. Please call the Korean Medical Program at (201)833-3399 to make an appointment.
The Korean Medical Program at Holy Name Medical Center was developed to address the linguistic and cultural needs of the Korean-American population in the greater New York and New Jersey area.
The program offers Korean menu selections, television channels, newspapers and magazines for inpatients, a free community shuttle van service as well as Korean-speaking customer representatives who greet patients, translate and coordinate with physician offices. The program also actively provides community outreach initiatives such as health fairs, educational programs, physician lectures and support groups.
