Holy Name Press Releases

Auxilary Donates $1,000 to Haiti Oxygen Processor

May 20, 2010

Ginny DeGreef, President of Holy Name Medical Center's Auxiliary recently presented a check for $1,000 to David Butler, MD, Holy Name OB/GYN and Vice President of the Center for the Rural Development of Milot (CRUDEM) and Alan Gwertzman, MD, Director of the Department of Anesthesiology at Holy Name.

The donation helps to underwrite the cost of the life saving oxygen processor that was donated to the Hopital Sacre Coeuer in Milot, Haiti through a collaborative effort between Holy Name, its employees, and Bergen Anesthesia Associates.

"When the members of the Auxiliary heard about what Holy Name did for the hospital in Haiti they knew immediately they wanted to help," explained Karen Chapman, Director of Volunteer Services and Medical Center liaison to the Auxiliary.  The donation was made possible through various Auxiliary-sponsored fundraisers throughout the year.
