Teaneck, NJ The Holy Name Hospital Gift Shop, under the direction of Patrick Finnegan, Gift Shop Manager, recently donated $100,000 for Villa Marie Claire, the Hospitals hospice facility in Saddle River, which is currently under construction and set to open next year. The donation was presented to Michael Maron, President and Chief Executive Officer, Holy Name Hospital; Kevin McCarthy, Vice President, Development, and Executive Director of the Holy Name Health Care Foundation and Charles Vialotti, M.D., Holy Names Chief of Radiation and Oncology and Medical Director of the Villa Marie Claire. The monies donated are proceeds from the sale of Gift Shop merchandise throughout the year.
"The Gift Shop has more than doubled its profit over the last seven years," says Finnegan. The Gift Shop is staffed entirely by Holy Name Hospital Volunteers and Auxilians."
The Villa Marie Claire will meet a growing and critical need for compassionate end-of-life care for terminally-ill patients and support for their loved ones.
