Holy Name Medical Center's MS Center will be holding an educational lecture on April 7, from 4 7PM at Holy Name's Marian Hall Conference Center. Keynote speakers will be Mary Ann Picone, M.D., medical director of the Holy Name MS Center and John Lincoln, MD. Speakers will discuss the new therapies on the horizon for Multiple Sclerosis as well as information on clinical trials; new oral therapies in development for the treatment of MS; the use of MRI as an outcome measure; and the benefits of physical therapy and yoga. Holy Name MS Center offers comprehensive medical, nursing, physical rehabilitation, and support services for MS patients in one location. The Center's staff consists of board-certified neurologists specializing in MS, registered nurses and clinical nurse practitioners, and social services professionals who assist patients and families coping with MS-related issues. Each patient has a specific plan of care that is communicated and coordinated with other physicians involved in their medical care.
