Holy Name Medical Center is pleased to announce that our hospital has regained electric power and is fully operational. Patients with scheduled appointments should call ahead to confirm.
Holy Name's Sheryl Slonim, DNP, RN-BC, NEA-BC, Executive Vice President, Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer, expressed her gratitude to the community for its patience during this challenging time, and extended her appreciation to the Medical Center's employees, as she recounted the staff's dedication from the beginning of the hurricane.
"On Monday morning, there was no one without a bag over her or his shoulder, in anticipation of staying overnight at the hospital," said Dr. Slonim. "We had to make rounds throughout the facility to find places where staff could sleep - that's the level of commitment our employees have to their patients and to our Medical Center. I'm so impressed with their performance and thank them from the bottom of my heart."
Holy Name Medical Center is a state-designated Medical Coordination Center (MCC) for the northeast, one of only nine centers in New Jersey. The role of the MCC is to communicate with the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services and the state's Office of Emergency Management on matters related to large-scale emergencies.
