Holy Name Fashion Fling Raises $215,000 for MS

20th Annual Foundation Event Draws Record Crowd

A record 650 attendees raised $215,000 at the 20th annual Holy Name Medical Center Foundation Spring Fashion Fling to benefit the Multiple Sclerosis Center. The funds will be used for patient care and research conducted at the MS Center.

"The Holy Name Medical Center MS Center sets the standard for the most comprehensive, integrated, and compassionate care in the region for patients with multiple sclerosis," said Michael Maron, President and CEO of Holy Name.

The event, held recently at the Teaneck Marriott at Glenpointe, featured an afternoon luncheon, auction, and fashion show, with designs by Lord & Taylor at The Fashion Center. WNBC-TV meteorologist Chris Cimino served as Honorary MS Chairman. Journalist and talk show host Meredith Vieira was the Honorary MS Ambassador for the event.

"We are grateful to the largest number of attendees in 20 years, comprising friends, physicians, and corporations, who came to the Spring Fashion Fling this year to support the MS Center," said Mary Ann Picone, M.D., Medical Director of the MS Center. "Monies raised are allowing us to expand both our clinical services and research initiatives to improve care for patients with multiple sclerosis."

As a regional leader in MS care, the MS Center provides expert holistic care to 2,000 patients of all ages living with multiple sclerosis. Known for its clinical excellence, personalized patient care, and innovative clinical research, the MS Center integrates services from all areas of the medical center so patients are supported from diagnosis through treatment and management.
