Holy Name Medical Center Hosting Healthy Aging Expo

Free physician consultations and health screenings

The Filipino Medical Program, through Holy Name Medical Center's Asian Health Services, is sponsoring a Healthy Aging Expo on Saturday, June 10 from 9 a.m. 1 p.m. in Marian Hall. Everyone is welcome to hear physicians discuss various aging topics, meet with doctors to ask individual questions and receive free health screenings.

"Our Healthy Aging Expo is part of our ongoing efforts to ensure everyone has access to high quality health care," said Michael Maron, President and CEO of Holy Name. "We will continue to do all we can to improve the overall health of our community through the hard work of our physicians, staff and volunteers."

During the expo, physicians will talk about geriatric medicine, heart disease, diabetes, the signs of stroke and the importance of cancer screenings. Participants will be able to consult with doctors who specialize in geriatrics, endocrinologists and internists, along with specialists in nutrition and diabetes education.

Participants will also be able to have the following health screenings performed: blood pressure, BMI/obesity, bone density, and diabetes (A1C).
