Like all hospitals in Bergen County and many throughout New Jersey, Holy Name Medical Center is functioning on generator power as a result of Hurricane Sandy. Holy Name continues to be operational for emergency care, although elective procedures have been cancelled, and non-emergent services have been postponed. The Medical Center is adequately staffed and has a sufficient inventory of supplies, equipment and food for patients and employees.
Holy Name's Emergency Care Center has not received any individuals who were injured as a result of the storm. There were several persons on home oxygen care who had lost power, and came to the Medical Center's Emergency Department to obtain oxygen service.
Holy Name Medical Center will issue updates to the press and through our website, Facebook and Twitter pages, as needed.
