1965 Cadillac Coupe De Ville, Driven & Autographed By Rock Band Journey, Previously Driven By Van Halen, Will Be Auctioned For Charity

Proceeds will provide homes, education and food to Haiti’s children

A vintage 1965 Cadillac Coupe de Ville autographed by American rock band Journey and driven by Van Halen will be available for auction on eBay beginning September 8th. Proceeds will benefit The CRUDEM Foundation, a national nonprofit organization that supports Hôpital Sacré-Coeur, the largest private hospital in northern Haiti.

The striking gold 1965 Cadillac Coupe de Ville has ferried the iconic bands Van Halen and Journey to performances across California. Scotty Ross, tour manager for Van Halen, first purchased the six-seater in 1999 and used it to get Van Halen to gigs in the Los Angeles area. In 2013, Ross returned to a previous position as road manager for Journey and brought the white-walled beauty with him to transport band members to performances in the San Francisco Bay region.

In 2017, Ross sold his beloved Cadillac to Dr. Andreas Kamlot, a leading heart surgeon from San Francisco and a CRUDEM Foundation volunteer at Hôpital Sacré-Coeur in Milot, Haiti. Dr. Kamlot generously offered to put his convertible up for auction, with all proceeds directly supporting the outreach program led by Hôpital Sacré-Coeur's Sister Ann Crawley, C.S.J.P.

"Sister Ann Crawley's outreach program provides food, shelter, and education to the Haitian community," said Dr. Kamlot. "This auction truly aligns with our mission to support and enrich the lives of the people of Haiti."

The program is managed by Hôpital Sacré-Coeur and funded through donations to The CRUDEM Foundation, a subsidiary of Holy Name Medical Center Foundation located in Teaneck, NJ.

In support of this great charitable effort, Journey's lead singer Arnel Pineda and band members Neal Schon, Ross Valory, Steve Smith, and Jonathan Cain signed their names in several spots on the Cadillac, about a month after the band was inducted into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame.
