Holy Name Medical Center is hosting its first ever Hispanic Heritage Health Fair on Saturday, October 21 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. in recognition of Hispanic Heritage Month. Free transportation is available from West New York, Union City, and North Bergen. Attendees will enjoy consultations with physicians, bone density, blood pressure, vein, and body mass index (BMI) screenings, CPR demos, insurance counseling, food, entertainment, and family-friendly activities, among other things.
The event is coordinated through the medical center's Hispanic outreach program, Familia Y Salud, which provides medically relevant and culturally sensitive care, information, educational programs, seminars, and preventive screenings to the Hispanic community.
