Elan Diamond, MD, is a board-certified, fellowship–trained hematologist/medical oncologist interested in targeted therapies for personalized cancer care, as well as in clinical research.
After receiving his bachelor's degree in philosophy and bioethics from John Hopkins University and graduating with academic honors, Dr. Diamond earned his medical doctorate from Weill Cornell Medical College. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at New York Presbyterian Hospital, a research fellowship focusing on genitourinary cancers at Weill Cornell Medical College, and his hematology and medical oncology fellowship at Weill Cornell.
Dr. Diamond has published papers and delivered presentations on treatment issues related to renal cell carcinoma, prostate cancer, head and neck cancer, liver cancer and heparin–induced thrombocytopenia, the abnormal formation of blood clots within blood vessels. He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology.
