About Me:

Christina Seo, MD is a colon and rectal surgeon at Holy Name Medical Center and is dual board certified in colon and rectal surgery as well as general surgery. Dr. Seo earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering and a Master of Science degree in Management from New Jersey Institute of Technology. She attended medical school at UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School in Newark. She completed her residency in general surgery at the University of Rochester Medical Center and her fellowship in colon and rectal surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Florida.

As a colon and rectal surgeon, Dr. Seo performs surgeries and colonoscopies, handling 500 cases per year. She has a special interest in treating patients with cancer, pelvic floor concerns and those who need more complex surgeries. Dr. Seo maintains affiliations with American Society of Colon & Rectal Surgeons (ASCRS) and the American College of Surgeons. She is an expert in minimally invasive surgery, and is skilled in laparoscopy and robotic surgery.

Dr. Seo promotes personalized care plans that take a patient's overall health and other important variables into consideration while working towards the best outcomes. She focuses on educating her patients on the uniqueness of their conditions and teaching them how to avoid complications from underlying conditions.
