Dr. Teich completed his bachelor degree in medical science with a specialization in human physiology at the University of Western Ontario, Canada. He received his medical doctorate from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He then completed his internal medicine residency at NYU Langone Hospital/Bellevue/Manhattan VA followed by a hematology/oncology fellowship at NYU Long Island. Dr. Teich has participated in clinical research as well as basic science research in immunology/tumor biology. During fellowship he engaged in quality improvement research related to improving patient outcomes in those with advanced metastatic disease. He is a member of the American Board of Internal Medicine, American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the American Society of Hematology. Dr. Teich prioritizes educating patients and their families to understand their disease and treatment options. Dr. Teich was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He credits his physician mother for inspiring him to pursue medicine.
