Dr. Kiran Bhat is a board-certified neonatologist and the Chief of Neonatology at Holy Name. She is deeply committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality care to newborns and their families, drawing inspiration from their resilience and strength throughout the NICU journey. Under her leadership, Holy Name's NICU continues to provide a nurturing and calming environment where families receive exceptional, family-centered care.
Dr. Bhat earned her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine. She went on to complete her residency in Pediatrics and Fellowship in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine at Cohen Children's Medical Center in New York.
She began her career as a neonatologist at Danbury Hospital and later joined the faculty at St. Joseph's Health in Paterson, New Jersey, in 2015. During her time at St. Joseph's, Dr. Bhat spearheaded multiple quality improvement initiatives and the integration of evidence-based practices in neonatal care. Her dedication to education was recognized through several teaching awards for excellence in mentoring pediatric residents.
In addition to her clinical leadership, Dr. Bhat served as the Director of NICU Operations at Onsite Neonatal Partners, where she played a key role in the strategic growth and development of neonatal programs across the country.
Outside of her professional responsibilities, Dr. Bhat enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her husband and their four children.
