NJ Charity Care is free or reduced charge care which is provided to patients who receive inpatient and outpatient services at acute care hospitals throughout the state of New Jersey. Charity Care is available only for emergent or medically
necessary hospital care. Some services such as physician fees, anesthesiology fees, radiology interpretation, and outpatient prescriptions are separate from hospital charges and may not be eligible for reduction.
In accordance with Charity Care guidelines, payment assistance is available to New Jersey resident patients whose household gross income is at or below 300% of the federal poverty guidelines and who:

Patients can apply and/or obtain an application for Charity Care either on-line or by calling the financial counseling office at 201-833-3157. Office hours are Monday through Friday between 8:30am to 2:30pm. No in-person walk-ins. Please call for assistance with your application.
