The Holy Name Foundation and hundreds of friends, supporters, sponsors, and staff enjoyed a wonderful evening at MetLife Stadium, celebrating the health system's centennial and the achievements of our Spirit of Healing honorees on Saturday, April 5.
With great appreciation and affection, we recognized the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace, founders of Holy Name Hospital and the Holy Name School of Nursing in 1925, and whose mission and charism have defined and inspired our organization ever since; and Aleta and Rich Taylor, co-founders and trustees of the Serviam Foundation, and dedicated friends and valued benefactors for more than three decades.
We are honored and grateful to His Eminence Cardinal Joseph W. Tobin, Archbishop of Newark, who offered a moving invocation. Opera singer Christopher Macchio delivered several stirring performances, and the evening concluded with fireworks and a drone show.
During this milestone year especially, we are deeply appreciative to the Sisters and the Taylor family; and our guests, sponsors and loyal contributors, whose generosity allows us to continue providing Great Medicine with a Soul Purpose.
