The BirthPlace's Level III Neo-natal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) provides highly specialized, around-the-clock care for babies born prematurely, critically ill or requiring surgery. This keeps babies close to their parents without the need for transfer to another facility.

The BirthPlace's Level III NICU offers 24/7 coverage to neonatal experts in a quiet, healing environment with state-of-the art equipment and advanced care.

Holy Name - NICU Patient Room

The Parent Room provides a home-like space with a couch that converts to a pull-out bed, private bathroom, and easy access to NICU specialists before discharge.

Parent Room: A Smooth Transition Home

Prior to discharge, parents can stay overnight in our Parent Room - an opportunity to bond and gain confidence in caring for your baby before heading home. Parents will still have access to all NICU specialists for added guidance, offering added peace of mind and support. Ask your nurse about options and availability.

Visiting Hours and Guidelines

The following visiting hours and guidelines are in place to ensure a safe, healing environment for all babies in our secure unit.

  • Parents: Welcome 24/7 with an ID band matching their baby's
  • Family & Friends (14+): May visit with a parent present, limited to three people one of whom must be a parent
  • Health & Safety:
    • Any visitors showing signs of illness may not enter the unit
    • If parents or designated guardians feel unwell or show signs of illness, we recommend you identify an alternate caregiver or you can partner with our staff to support your baby

Visitors will have access to private, secure lockers and a space to sanitize their hands before entering the unit.
